Vigilância socioassistencial: potencialidades e desafios para a Política de Assistência Social no município de Juiz de Fora - MG

Abstract

The present work aims to apprehend how the Social Assistance Surveillance actions are carried out and what are their contributions and challenges to the Social Assistance Policy, understanding this process from the reality of the municipality of Juiz de Fora - MG. This being the same result of the observations and questions as a Social Work intern at the Social Assistance Secretariat (SAS)/ Undersecretariat for Surveillance and Monitoring of Social Assistance (SSVM), specifically in the Department of Evaluation and Information Management (DAGI). Social assistance surveillance is presented as a function and objective of the social assistance policy, as well as its sector/area, and has a transversal character, that is, it permeates all areas of social assistance. In order to achieve the objectives of this work, a brief bibliographical review will be carried out on Social Policy and Social Assistance, in addition to documentary research to identify the legal and regulatory frameworks of this policy and social assistance surveillance. With that, the purpose of this debate is to contribute to the academy and also to the work of professionals who are in the execution of the Social Assistance Policy.
