Técnicas de cirurgias mucogengivais para otimizar tecidos peri-implantares em região bilateral posterior da mandíbula: relato de caso clínico

Abstract

The volume of soft tissue in implant areas has become one of the determining factors for treatment success. In this sense, periodontal plastic surgery techniques in peri-implant tissues are performed in order to stabilise them, to maintain or an create keratinized mucosa to help control periodontal health, reduce the possibility of loss of hard and soft tissues. The aim of this work is to present a clinical case of a 28-year-old patient who was attended to at the dental clinic of the Federal University of Juiz de Fora - Campus GV, complaining of aesthetic and funcional dissatisfaction due to the absence of two teeth in the mandible. After clinical examination it was observed that the patient had implants and healers, in the areas of teeth 35 and 46 with little tissue volume and little biological width, factors that could compromise implants in the future. The esthetic and functional rehabilitation treatment plan included making provisional crowns and free gingival graft in the buccal mucosal region of the right implant, and connective tissue graft in the mucosal region of the left implant. The patient agreed with the proposed treatment and signed the Informed Consent Form (TCLE). After 4 months, there was an increase in tissue volume and an increase in the keratinized gingival band, providing stability and protecting the implant, allowing ideal hygiene of the prostheses and maintenance of peri-implant health. The performed procedure achieved the initial objective of recovering the volume of the peri-implant tissue and the patient reported being satisfied with the treatment. The same is in proservation and molding will be carried out for the manufacture of definitive porcelain prostheses after total tissue remodeling.
