Panorama dos principais indicadores educacionais dos alunos venezuelanos que residem na região norte do Brasil

Abstract

The migration of Venezuelans to Brazil has been constant in recent years and it has reflected in educational indicators in the northern region of Brazil. In order to develop a panorama with various information from Venezuelan students enrolled in the northern region of the country, a literature review was carried out to understand the migratory context in Brazil and the situation in Venezuela in recent years, which culminated in the rise of immigration to states such as Roraima and Amazonas. Legislation documents governing migration in the country were also used to understand the treatment that Brazilian law has with immigrants. For calculating the indicators, data from the Basic Education School Census collected by the National Institute of Educational Studies and Research Anísio Teixeira (Inep) were used. With the panorama, it was possible to identify which places had the most enrollments of Venezuelan students, teaching stages in which they are most concentrated and the profile of the students. Such information serves as a basis to indicate the need to formulate a public policy for the education of foreigners that alleviates and resolves the various difficulties faced by these students, many of them related to learning.
