dc.description.abstract | In this paper we will study the discursive mechanisms used by European colonialism to adapt and maintain the idea of savagery attributed to civilizations belonging to this continent called by them as America. Through which they justified a self-awarded superiority awarded by them to these civilizations. Which was maintained from Columbus to the depositary men of the European Enlightenment. It is precisely this point that has been analyzed with greater insistence throughout the text because the European Enlightenment was built on the idea of reason in a sense antagonistic to the matrix of mythical thought. It was even used by Voltaire and members of The Lima Society of Lovers to discredit the social groups that possessed this form of thought. However, they start from the myth of savagery adapted by Rousseau to the myth of the "Good Savage", that in the absence of a semantic rupture indicating a move in the structure of thought, we understand that only the matrix was modified from where the other American was thought and not the myth from where it departed. This being the main inconsistency of the Enlightenment because, as we mentioned, it is positioned as antagonistic to mythical thinking, but begins its reflections from a myth. Then, from these placements, we explore the productions of the Society of Lovers of Lima as a repeater of a mythical language surreptitious in the Enlightenment. Thus, from the structure of colonialist thought we can understand in a way closer to historical truth the production of postcolonial authors, not only as sources but as producers of knowledge. | pt_BR |
dc.description.resumo | En el presente trabajo estudiaremos los mecanismos discursivos utilizados por el colonialismo europeo para adaptar y mantener la idea de salvajismo atribuida a las civilizaciones pertenecientes a este continente llamado por ellos como América. A través de la cual se auto adjudicaron ser superiores con respecto a estas civilizaciones. La cual se mantuvo desde Colón hasta los hombres depositarios de la Ilustración europea. Es precisamente este punto el analizado con mayor insistencia a lo largo del texto porque la Ilustración europea se construyó sobre la idea de la razón en un sentido antagónico a la matriz de pensamiento mítica. Incluso, siendo utilizada por Voltaire y los miembros de La Sociedad de Amantes de Lima para desacreditar a los grupos sociales que poseían esta forma de pensamiento. Sin embargo, parten del mito del salvajismo adaptado por Rousseau al mito del “Buen Salvaje”, que al no existir una ruptura semántica que indique una mudanza en la estructura de pensamiento, entendemos que sólo se modificó la matriz desde donde se pensaba al otro americano y no el mito desde donde parte. Siendo esta la principal incoherencia de la Ilustración porque, como ya mencionamos, se posiciona como antagónica al pensamiento mítico, pero inicia sus reflexiones desde un mito. Entonces, a partir de estas colocaciones, exploramos las producciones de la Sociedad de Amantes de Lima como una repetidora de un lenguaje mítico subrepticio en la Ilustración. Así, a partir de la desestructuración del pensamiento colonialista podemos entender de una forma más cercana a la verdad histórica la producción de los autores postcoloniales, no sólo como fuentes sino como productores de conocimientos. | pt_BR |
