dc.description.abstractThis Law Degree Coursework aims to discuss what is equity according to the Greek thinker Aristotle, taking by reference frame the work Ethics to Nicomachus. In order to understand equity in this author, the central object of this work, it is explained what is happiness according to him (Book I of EN), which leads to the theme of virtues (Book II), being the most important of them justice (Book V), as will be seen, and finally is worked this kind of justice, that is equity, and then, with the purpose of clarifying and demonstrating the thesis explained, it is exemplified applications of this understanding of equity in the legal order and case law.pt_BR
dc.description.resumoEste Trabalho de Conclusão do Curso de Direito objetiva discorrer sobre o que é a equidade segundo o pensador grego Aristóteles, tomando por marco referencial a obra Ética a Nicômaco. Para que compreenda-se a equidade neste autor, objeto central deste trabalho, explica-se o que é, nele, felicidade (Livro I de EN), o que leva ao tema das virtudes (Livro II), sendo delas a mais importante a justiça (Livro V), finalmente se trabalha essa espécie de justiça, que é a equidade e, após, com o intuito de aclarar e demonstrar as teses explanadas, exemplifica-se aplicações desse entendimento de equidade no ordenamento jurídico e jurisprudência pátria.pt_BR
