“Se eram livres, por que continuavam ali?”: Reflexão sobre a perpetuação de mulheres negras na precariedade do trabalho

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the precarious working conditions of Black women, based on the structural determinants of race, gender, and class that operate within Brazilian capitalist, racist, and patriarchal society. Anchored in the historical-dialectical materialist method, the study seeks to grasp the essence of the object beyond its phenomenal appearance, articulating theory and practice in the analysis of the multiple forms of oppression that shape these women's lives. The methodological approach is qualitative and consists of two complementary stages: an exploratory bibliographic review, focusing on theoretical works and recent studies on the intersections of capitalism, race, and gender; and empirical research, developed through a focus group organized in the form of a conversation circle. This stage will be carried out with Black working women in the city of Juiz de Fora, particularly those involved in Solidarity Economy initiatives and active in social movements such as the Solidarity Economy Forum and the Unified Black Movement (MNU). The research reaffirms the ethical-political commitment of Social Work to the working class and to the struggle against the bourgeois order, incorporating the investigative dimension as a tool to denaturalize structural inequalities. By centering the voices and experiences of Black women, the study aims to contribute to the construction of critical knowledge that challenges the foundations of exploitation and points toward human emancipation.
