| Title: | Ressignificação da vacinação por idosos institucionalizados: uma pesquisa convergente assistencial |

| Resumo: | Objetivou-se conhecer as Representações Sociais dos idosos residentes em Instituição de Longa Permanência para Idosos (ILPI) sobre a vacinação; analisar as Representações Sociais dos idosos residentes em ILPI sobre a vacinação; realizar uma intervenção de educação em saúde com os idosos sobre vacinação; propor à ILPI uma Sistematização da Imunização. Utilizou-se como referencial metodológico a Pesquisa Convergente Assistencial (PCA). Estudo qualitativo de natureza exploratória e descritiva, realizado em duas ILPIs filantrópicas situadas no município de Juiz de Fora/MG, com a participação de 31 idosos. A coleta dos dados ocorreu nos meses de abril a julho de 2018, após a aprovação do projeto pelo Comitê de Ética em Pesquisa com Seres Humanos da Universidade Federal de Juiz de Fora. Utilizou-se entrevistas semiestruturadas guiadas por questões norteadoras para a obtenção dos dados e a Análise de Conteúdo para o tratamento destes. Emergiram duas categorias de análise: Representação Social dos idosos sobre vacinas; Representação Social dos idosos sobre os benefícios e malefícios das vacinas e suas motivações para a vacinação. Os idosos compreendem que as vacinas são importantes, pois protegem a saúde contra doenças. Porém, identificou-se fragilidades quanto ao conhecimento dos idosos sobre os principais aspectos inerentes à vacinação, inclusive, quanto as suas motivações para serem vacinados. Como proposta de intervenção para este problema, realizou-se uma oficina de educação em saúde sobre vacinação em uma ILPI. A segunda proposta de intervenção consistiu em propor à ILPI uma sistematização da imunização. O impacto social do estudo foi a ressignificação da vacinação pelos idosos, viabilizada através da realização da oficina educativa. Destaca-se a relevância do estudo em subsidiar os profissionais da saúde quanto ao desenvolvimento de atividades de promoção da saúde, além de incentivar as ILPIs a desenvolverem ações inovadoras que proporcionem melhor qualidade de vida aos idosos. |
| Abstract: | The purpose of this study was to know the Social Representations of the elderly living in Long Stay Instituition for Elderly (LSIE) regarding vaccination; to analyze the Social Representations of the elderly living in LSIE regarding the vaccination; to make a health education intervention with the elderly regarding vaccination; to propose to the LSIE an Immunization Systematization. It was used as methodological reference the Convergent Assistance Research (CAR). The qualitative study, with an exploratory and descriptive nature, was carried out in two philanthropic LSIEs located in the city of Juiz de Fora/MG, with the participation of 31 elders. The interviews happened from April to July, 2018, after the project being approved by the Human Research Ethics Committee of the Federal University of Juiz de Fora. Semi-structured interviews were used, through guided questions, to obtain the data and Content Analysis for their treatment. Two categories of analysis emerged: Social representation of the elderly regarding vaccines; Social representation of the elderly regarding the benefits and harms of vaccines and their motivations for vaccination. The elderly understood that vaccines are important considering that they protect their health against diseases. But, fragilities have been identified in the elderly’s knowledge about the main aspects of vaccination, including their motivations for vaccination. The intervention proposal for this problem was to do a health education workshop about vaccination in a LSIE. The second intervention proposal consisted in proposing to the LSIE a immunization systematization. The social impact of the study was the re-signification of vaccination by the elderly, made possible through the educational workshop. It is highlighted the relevance of the study in subsidizing health professionals in the development of health promotion activities, in addition, encouraging LSIEs to develop innovative actions that provide a better life quality for the elderly. |
