Abstract: This dissertation has the main objective to analyze the narrative construction and the significance of the journalistic series "50 years of journalism", created by Rede Globo, in the year of 2015, commemorating its 50th anniversary. Thus, it is intended to understand how the sixteen invited reporters, guided by the journalist William Bonner, built and defined historicity for the narrative and, consequently, for the broadcaster. This series was chosen as an analytical object by its symbolic strength, for the novelty of its format and for making reflections on the journalism trajectory of the largest Brazilian broadcaster. In view of this, initially precious concepts are discussed about the analysis of the object relative to the regime of presentist historicity (HARTOG, 2013; NORA, 1995) and to the concepts of history and memory (DOSSE, 2004; LE GOFF, 2003; BLOCH, 2001; POLLACK, 1989, 1992). We also seek to understand the relations of journalism and historiography in the treatment of social events. Afterward, are studied the promises (JOST, 2007) of the production and exhibition of the series taken into account the new media ecosystem lined by technologies and information platforms (JENKINS, 2008). Finally, the narrative of the series is analyzed, specifically the narrative undertaken by reporters, using the "critical analysis of the narrative", methodology proposed by Motta (2013). It seeks to unveil the ruses and stratagems of those who narrate understanding their symbolic constructions. As a conclusion, it can be observed that the narrative, in association with the context of 2015, exalts the trajectory and importance of the journalism of the broadcaster re-signifying its past and building values and historicity for it.
