Abstract

The essay "The Negro is Maturable: for the Non-Right to Equality" criticizes the perspective of the principle of equality as an ideological and utopian element born in modernity - within the framework of the Declaration of Human Rights and the right to equality as a merely legal-formal-substantial meaning, which is not effective in material and concrete objectivity. Equality seeks to correlate or counterbalance it with the question of the black's matability being killable, identifying elements of denial of this right to equality - in the context of the state of exception. Considering also, a whole social, conjunctural and structural process of capitalism - in crisis, the category "to be." Also, the discussion of the homo sacer figure in Agamben (2007), the lethal violence and homicide rates in Brazil and the vulnerability of the young black man, based on studies developed in sources identified in the Atlas of Violence, Map of Violence and similar bibliographies. It presents elements of public security and the Amarildo Case, yet, to understand the problematized category: negro is Maturable
