Análise dos modais de transporte pela ótica dos blocos comerciais: uma abordagem inter-setorial de insumo-produto

Abstract

The main aim of this research is the requirement analysis of modals of transport (road, rail, hydroplane, air and marine) when occurs exports for Mercosur, European Union, NAFTA and rest of the world. In other words, we want to identify the interactions between the sectoral exports and the modals of transport in terms of load movement (transported tons). In order to reach this aim we built a hybrid input-output matrix. At this framework, the selling from modals of transports to the other sectors is presented in physical terms (tons transported for the exports). The buying side is presented in monetary terms. It is important to highlight that this vector is endogeneized in the input-output framework. Thus, we have an inter-sectoral hybrid input-output model. The structure of the matrix is sector by sector for the year 2003. The physical units (transported tons) are estimated, in each matrix, to capture the requirement coefficients of modals of transport in a more robust way. The requirements coefficients show the more relevant sectors in terms of demand upon modals of transport. On the other side, in implicit terms, it is also possible to verify which the role is played by geographical issues.
