| Resumo: | Esta pesquisa tem como objetivo analisar o movimento “Democracia Corinthiana”, surgido na primeira metade dos anos 1980 durante as lutas pela redemocratização no Brasil, e investigar de que modo os discursos presentes na Revista Placar — o principal veículo de informação esportiva do país na época — contribuíram para a consolidação desse movimento. Para isso, são separadas cerca de 190 edições e analisadas 52 veiculadas entre fevereiro de 1981 e abril de 1985, quando a chapa de Roberto Pasqua venceu a chapa da Democracia Corinthiana nas eleições do Corinthians. Nessa análise, são observadas as formas de representação linguística presentes na revista, nas reportagens e nos textos opinativos. A metodologia adota a análise do discurso, tendo como principal referencial os conceitos de Eni Orlandi (2012), permitindo identificar os enquadramentos e escolhas narrativas que dialogaram com o contexto político da época. |
| Abstract: | This work aims to analyze the “Democracia Corinthiana” movement, which emerged in the first half of the 1980s during the struggles for redemocratization in Brazil, and to investigate how the discourses present in Placar Magazine — the country’s leading sports publication at the time — contributed to the consolidation of this movement. To this end, around 190 editions are consulted, and 52 published between February of 1981 and April of 1985 are analyzed, when Roberto Pasqua’s slate defeated the Democracia Corinthiana slate in the Corinthians elections. This analysis examines the forms of linguistic representation present in the magazine, across both news reports and opinion articles. The methodology employs discourse analysis, drawing primarily on the concepts of Eni Orlandi (2012), which allows the identification of the frames and narrative choices that engage with the political context of the time. |
