| Abstract: | This article analyzes the campaign More Than Just Clothes by the brand Vanish from the perspective of inclusive sensory fashion, a concept proposed in this study, with an emphasis on the relationship between sensory experience, embodied experience, and the representation of autistic individuals. It is grounded in the understanding of fashion as a cultural phenomenon and social practice that goes beyond the aesthetic dimension, constituting itself as a sensory experience involving the body, perception, sensoriality and affect. The research adopts a qualitative approach of an exploratory and descriptive nature, combining a literature review with a content analysis of the campaign. The theoretical framework draws on authors from the sociology of fashion, the phenomenology of the body, cultural studies, and communication studies, as well as contributions from research on autism, neurodiversity, and sensory integration. The results indicate that the campaign shifts the centrality of fashion discourse away from the visual gaze toward other sensory stimuli, highlighting clothing as a mediator of comfort, emotional security, and identity construction, thereby contributing to a more empathetic and broader representation of autistic lived experiences. |
