This work aims to analyze the relationship between Generation Z and fashion trends emerging through social media, and the impact of these trends on the construction of personal style among these young people. It examines how dressing ceases to be merely an individual choice and becomes a performative practice, frequently guided by viral aesthetics and shared visual repertoires. The theoretical research observes online phenomena and how the logic of visibility, repetition, and acceleration of aesthetic trends influences how these individuals express themselves through fashion. Based on this study, the work discusses the paradox experienced by Generation Z, which seeks authenticity while simultaneously reproducing similar visual codes, reinforced by algorithms and engagement dynamics. As a practical development of the research, we created a fashion editorial that visually translates the theoretical reflections presented, exploring the mixture of disharmonious micro-trends, the artificiality of the digital image, and the aesthetic excess characteristic of the online environment.pt_BR
