| Resumo: | Este trabalho investiga a performatividade como prática estética e política de resistência, tendo como objeto de análise o filme Cabaret (1972), dirigido por Bob Fosse. A pesquisa fundamenta-se em conceitos de Judith Butler (2018), James C. Scott (2013), Georges Didi-Huberman (2022) e Norval Baitello Jr. (1993), articulando política e estética para compreender como o corpo, o gesto e a linguagem artística operam como formas de contestação simbólica em contextos de dominação. A partir da análise de cenas específicas do referido filme, este estudo procura evidenciar como o espetáculo pode perfomar tensões sociais, políticas e identitárias, revelando a arte como espaço de enfrentamento, deslocamento e reinvenção simbólica. |
| Abstract: | This study investigates performativity as an aesthetic and political practice of resistance, focusing on the film Cabaret (1972), directed by Bob Fosse. The research is grounded in concepts by Judith Butler (2018), James C. Scott (2013), Georges Didi-Huberman (2022), and Norval Baitello Jr. (1993), articulating politics and aesthetics to understand how the body, gesture, and artistic language operate as forms of symbolic contestation in contexts of domination. Based on the analysis of specific scenes from the film, this study seeks to highlight how spectacle can perform social, political, and identity-based tensions, revealing art as a space for confrontation, displacement, and symbolic reinvention. |
