Couro, pluma e seda: substituindo os materiais de origem animal em uma coleção de moda vegana

Abstract

This work focuses on the creation and development of a fashion collection for the brand Bini Clothing as part of a Final Course Project. The collection, named Urban Fauna, aims to demonstrate that it is possible to achieve the aesthetic appeal of animal-derived fabrics without causing harm to animals during the production process. To achieve this, the project utilizes synthetic materials that closely resemble natural resources such as leather, silk, and feathers. The work includes a comprehensive presentation and discussion on animal-derived textile materials, emphasizing their impact on wildlife and proposing optimal solutions to maintain their aesthetic qualities sustainably. Additionally, the project showcases fifteen fashion looks through illustrations, with three of them being fully produced and featured in a photographic editorial.
