This paper proposes an analysis of fashion in the 1990s, highlighting the relationship between the grunge movement in alternative music and the influence of female bands, with a special focus on Courtney Love. The aim is to understand how Love's behavior and appearance developed to her destruction by the general public, while highlighting her impact as an inspiration for fashion designers. The research begins with a study of the fashion context in the 1990s, exploring the transition from the elegant and excessive trends of the previous decade to a more realistic aesthetic influenced by subcultures. The rise of grunge, a subgenre of alternative rock, is addressed, highlighting its influence on fashion. The study includes an analysis of the Riot Grrrl movement, a feminist influence on the grunge scene, and the kinderwhore strand, which mixes childlike innocence with elements of aggression, popularized by Love. Finally, the research investigates Courtney Love's style throughout her career and her influence on fashion, highlighting her aggressive femininity as an authentic and inspiring element for fashion designers.
