Diário de uma vir-a-ser arquiteta-ceramista: das mãos no barro ao projeto de um atelier de cerâmica sensível e sustentável

Abstract

The ceramic studio is the place where the craftsman-ceramist practices his craft and sensitively experiences the connection with what he produces – art from clay – and the dynamics of teaching and learning, through the education of attention. Given the complexity of the relationships that take place in this place, it is necessary that, when submitted to an architectural project, that it can guarantee, in addition to technical quality, sensitivity and sustainability. It is often noticed that graduation alone is not enough to prepare the architect to be able to intentionally generate sensations and emotions through architecture, as well as guarantee environmental, social and economic responsibility/sustainability. In this way, the first part of this Graduation Thesis proposes to carry out a study about these qualities and to develop the necessary awareness to carry out the project of a sensitive and sustainable ceramics workshop during the second part of the Graduation Thesis. To this end, bibliographical references were consulted in order to theoretically base the basic themes of the work. A qualitative study was also carried out through field research and the collection of oral reports, gathering narratives, descriptions, reflections, perceptions and technical information acquired through textual and illustrated descriptions in the form of a diary.
