| Resumo: | A saúde mental brasileira passou por diversas transformações no decorrer das últimas décadas. Estruturada às ideias da Reforma Psiquiátrica e a substituição do modelo hospitalocêntrico por modelos mais humanos e democráticos, provocou uma reconfiguração no atendimento à saúde mental. Através das políticas públicas, implementações na Legislação e contribuições de grupos de defesa dos direitos dos pacientes com problemas mentais, foi possível a estruturação e expansão de uma rede extra hospitalar da qual faz parte o CAPS (Centro de Apoio Psicossocial), onde garantem que os indivíduos com transtornos psicológicos se sintam acolhidos, suas necessidades identificadas, valorizados na sua forma de ser, dentro do seu contexto social e familiar. Trata-se de uma revisão integrativa da literatura que teve como objetivos identificar os saberes e as práticas realizadas pelo enfermeiro no CAPS, no contato direto com os usuários do serviço e seus familiares; conhecer as limitações e possibilidades do enfermeiro no cuidado ao portador de sofrimento mental no CAPS. Para a extração das informações foram utilizados 14 artigos, onde permitiu a estruturação de duas categorias temáticas, a saber: saberes e as práticas realizadas pelo enfermeiro no CAPS; limitações e possibilidades do enfermeiro no cuidado ao portador de sofrimento mental no CAPS. O acolhimento, educação em saúde, atendimento individual, visita domiciliar, administração de medicamentos, grupos terapêuticos, apoio familiar foram as principais atividades relatadas pelos enfermeiros, além das ações de caráter administrativo que ainda assumem maior destaque. Os desafios para o trabalho elencados pelos enfermeiros foram: escassez de recursos materiais e de transporte, deficiência na estrutura do serviço, pouca qualificação profissional e às fragilidades do trabalho em rede. Os resultados mostram que os enfermeiros que atuam na saúde mental precisam desenvolver competências necessárias para a prática da promoção da saúde e encarar de forma eficaz os desafios atuais. É grande a necessidade de se desencadear processos de capacitação de trabalhadores de enfermagem, na área da saúde mental. |
| Abstract: | Brazilian mental health has undergone several transformations over the past decades. Structured around the ideas of the Psychiatric Reform and the replacement of the hospital-centered model by more humane and democratic models, it led to a reconfiguration of mental health care. Through public policies, implementations in the Legislation and contributions from groups that defend the rights of patients with mental problems, it was possible to structure and expand an extra-hospital network where the CAPS (Psychosocial Support Center) is integrated, guaranteeing that individuals with psychological disorders can feel welcome, their needs identified, valued in their way of being, inserted in their social and family context. This is an integrative literature review that aimed to identify the knowledge and practices performed by nurses in CAPS, in direct contact with users of the service and their families, and to know the limitations and possibilities of nurses in caring for the mentally ill in CAPS. For the extraction of information, 14 articles were used, allowing the structuring of two thematic categories, in particular: knowledge and practices performed by nurses in CAPS; limitations and possibilities of nurses in caring for the mentally ill in CAPS. Reception, health education, individual care, home visits, medication administration, therapeutic groups, and family support were the main activities reported by nurses, in addition to the administrative actions that still stand out. The work challenges listed by the nurses were: lack of material resources and transportation; deficiency in the structure of the service; little professional qualification; and the weaknesses of cooperative work. The results show that the nurses who work in mental health need to develop the necessary competencies for the practice of health promotion and deal efficiently with the current challenges. There is a great need to develop training processes for nursing workers in the area of mental health. |
