| Resumo: | As questões de gênero estão muito presentes no nosso zeitgeist, e isso reflete na moda, que vem se movimentando para criar coleções livres de definição de gênero. Apesar disso, uma significativa parcela dessas coleções genderless se apresentam como uma terceira ramificação de produto, contraposta às femininas e às masculinas, com uma estética muito definida, que permite pouca, ou nenhuma, alteração. Dessa forma, esse tipo de moda sem gênero, contraditoriamente, acaba por reforçar a ideia de que as roupas têm gênero. Por isso, este trabalho busca fomentar as discussões acerca do tema, investigando as alternativas que vêm sendo empregadas na construção dessa moda sem gênero, para que seja possível localizar seus pontos fracos e, então, criar uma coleção realmente desconectada das marcações de gênero. A coleção apresentada, cápsula e experimental, é composta por 14 looks e inspirada em dois acontecimentos da moda dos anos 1980, que se relacionam com esses questionamentos: o power dressing e a montação da Cultura Ballroom. |
| Abstract: | Gender issues are very present in our zeitgeist, and this is reflected in fashion, which has been moving to create collections free of gender definition. Despite this, a significant portion of these genderless collections presente themselves as a third branch of the product, opposed to the feminine and masculine ones, with a very defined aesthetic, which allows little, if any, alteration. In this way, this type of genderless fashion, contradictorily, ends up reinforcing the idea that clothes have a gender. Therefore, this work seeks to encourage discussions on the subject, investigating the alternatives that have been used in the construction of this genderless fashion, so that it is possible to locate its weaknesses and then, create a collection that is really disconnected from gender markings. The collection presented, capsule and exprimental, is composed of 14 looks and inspired by two fashion events of the 1980s, which are related to these questions: Power dressing and the montage of the Ballroom Culture. |
