Ensaios sobre o programa bolsa família: uma análise da relação entre homofilia, taxa de cobertura e mercado de trabalho

Abstract

The present study investigates the relationships of the Bolsa Família (Bolsa Família) program with the social network of women similar in marital status/locality and female participation in the labor market. Thus, three sets of essays are conducted, in which the first chapter exposes the state of the art of homophily (social network structure) in economic outcomes. The second chapter is an empirical study on the relationship between the coverage rate of Bolsa Família and the social network of women's similarities in marital status and locality, aiming to demonstrate which group performs better. The third chapter, analyzes Bolsa Família in the probability of female participation in the labor market, seeking to demonstrate the differences between social vulnerability groups (poor and extremely poor).
