Seguindo palavras Krenak: uma abordagem sobre memória, paisagem e emoções

Abstract

This dissertation followed and analyzed the speeches of the Krenak present in materials from different mediums. This material is dated from the 2000s to the present day, and a significant part of it was produced and disseminated after the crime-disaster event that occurred in november 2015, when a tailings dam in a mine owned by mining companies Samarco/Vale/BHP Billiton. This work has a brief presentation of this material, situating its contexts and characters. It is then divided into three chapters whose main objective remains with the Krenak narrative about its own history and memory. The first chapter is about the historical landmarks present in the speeches of the Krenak, bringing the set of events mentioned and narrated in a chronological order. These events are located in immemorial times and moments that correspond with brazilian historiography. The second chapter discusses the experience of cultural and religious practices, so called by the Krenak, based on their speeches and associating them with the concepts of landscape, culture and territoriality. The third chapter retakes the history and memory, analyzing the Krenak speeches from the issues about emotions and well-being. Finally, it is observed that all these themes that appear in the speeches are intrinsic, as the narrative is about the ways of inhabiting the territory and the resilience in always returning to it.
