Mídias digitais móveis e turismo cultural sustentável: bases conceituais para o desenvolvimento do aplicativo JF Patrimônio

Abstract

This research paper reflects on the concepts of cultural heritage, social memories, and sustainable tourism to suggest good practices related to what is defined as Sustainable Cultural Tourism, associated with the recognition, appreciation, and preservation of cultural diversity, as represented by the material and immaterial assets found in the most diverse range of tourist destinations. It starts with the association between culture and digital technologies in a contemporary context to highlight the didactic-pedagogical potential of new technologies in an era marked by connection and mobility. It also investigates alternatives presented by mobile digital media, which facilitate the use of new means of communication aimed at promoting cultural heritage and sustainable tourism. Using the processes that gave rise to the constitution and preservation of the historical and cultural heritage of the city of Juiz de Fora – located in the state of Minas Gerais, Brazil – the paper proposes to develop an application for mobile devices called JF Patrimônio, whose method is based on the "User-Centered Design" (UCD) concept, designed to be used in the area of heritage education.
