Complexidades do imaginário: Entre a palavra e a imagem.

Abstract

The purpose of this thesis consists of a transdisciplinary work, in view of involving other areas such as the Visual Arts, as well as using some studies in Psychology, Hermeneutics, Phenomenology and Anthropology. The theme, the imaginary, part of its lexical origin, the image, seeking to unfold the great skein that surrounds it since the dawn of humanity, the men of the Paleolithic and Neolithic periods, precursors of the first images drawn in the caves, portraying their daily lives the rising of the first myths, originating from his imaginations and which were consolidated in his imaginary. In this cadence of events, I try to approach the image theme in a broader aspect, going beyond the conception of being only observed in the aspect of figurative representations. The image in the mental field, evokes writing and instigates creativity, or, if in a contrary order, it is what seeks to unravel this research. Thus, I seek to understand the principle of the creative process, based on texts that make up the theoretical corpus that surrounds the subject, in addition to exemplifying some phenomena with works by some authors and experiences of literary creation involving text and illustrations, in which I myself participated. I intend to find paths that demonstrate the influence of myths in the construction of these imaginaries that, in turn, lead to the final object, which is creation. With that, I discuss the relations of the creative processes of a work, especially those involving the text-illustration-book tripod, as well as the relations between the imaginary in the writer-illustrator-reader triad. In this thesis, the complexities of the imaginary do not stick only to the origins of the myth and its influences on modern man, nor to the relations described between the word and the image, but it seeks to identify the excessive influence of the images caused by the new media in the affectation on the children, who participated in a literary project carried out in the field, in which some trends could be observed and which are reported in the present work.
