A atuação sindical no setor de telecomunicação: o caso SINTTEL - MG

Abstract

Based on the context in which trade union institutions have been facing a global crisis of unionism, this study aims to present the reality of union activities of the Brazilian telecommunications sector in the jurisdiction of the Minas Gerais State Telecommunications Workers Union - SINTTEL / MG. The study analyzes the union action of the telecommunications sector of Minas Gerais in the jurisdiction of SINTTEL / MG. The relevance of such research is due to the recent changes that have occurred in the unions in their ideological, behavioral and maintenance. Through the study it was possible to verify that the union action of the sector has difficulty in face of the distance between the union and its category, demonstrating a heterogeneous sector and with difficulty of identification by the category, aggravated by the policies carried out in the labor sphere, being identified the need for a reform in the union structure and the mobilization of the category in the face of adversity in the current scenario, seeking to strengthen the union and resume its protagonism.
