O tempo das alunas mães na escola

Abstract

This work, titled "The time of female students at school", carried out through the Graduate Program in Education of the Federal University of Juiz de Fora, had as a central discussion the time of the female students in the school day-to-day life. Through my presence at school as a teacher I found many female students who sought to continue their studies despite all the difficulties that the social context and the school charges imposed on them. The research came from this interest in understanding some questions, among them: What is it to be a mother in the context of the school? What passes for this existential question? What are the daily challenges they encounter when faced with the multiplicity of functions that exist in the daily life of their lives? My goal was to describe how the female students experience their temporalities in school. The research took place at the Maria Ilydia Resende Andrade State School located in the city of Juiz de Fora / MG. The researchers are three female students, two from the second segment of elementary education and one from the secondary school. The methodological approach used was the study at the /of / with the daily school, based on the studies of Inês Barbosa, Nilda Alves and Carlos Ferraço. As the main theoretical reference of the work I use the philosopher Henri Bergson. I also support the fundamental references of Paulo Freire, Walter Kohan and Carlos Eduardo Ferraço. Practitioners were asked to make portfolios. Our meetings took place in the daily life of the school and by the Whatsapp social network. Being and participating in the day-to-day life of the school, getting to know the different actors who work there and dedicate themselves, was extremely important for the development of the research. Through this research I was able to perceive the anguish experienced by the female mothers when they came across the multiple functions of being a mother and a teenage girl. That is, I was able to perceive the difficulties of some students in being able to organize their routines and times according to the chronological times demanded by society; school; nursery; house; children.
