A CAPES lançou um folder que orienta sobre como informar Identificadores Persistentes de pessoas, produções e instituições. A atualização desses IDs permitirá encontrar automaticamente autores e suas produções em bases de dados, reduzindo a coleta manual e assegurando maior qualidade da informação. .

A disseminação do uso dos identificadores persistentes na comunidade acadêmico-científica contribui de diversas maneiras para o processo de avaliação da pós-graduação stricto sensu no Brasil e para o compartilhamento do conhecimento com a sociedade, além de dar mais visibilidade à produção brasileira.
