Jardim Botânico da UFJF: proposição para a inacabada estação motriz do teleférico

Abstract

The present work has as its theme the brazilian botanical gardens, focusing on the Botanical Garden of the Federal University of Juiz de Fora. Based on the author's performance as an Environmental Education monitor at the UFJF Botanical Garden, we seek to repay the growth and experiences obtained through the exploration of potentialities in the physical space that can be contemplated with architectural and landscape propositions. Using the indirect documentation technique for the bibliographical research and the direct documentation technique for the in loco data survey, it was found that the unfinished cable car station and its surroundings are potential areas for intervention. The research on the history, normative instruments, and case studies of botanical gardens allowed a better contextualization of these institutions, while the review of information on the UFJF Botanical Garden allowed a better approximation and understanding of the object of study. From that, this stage is finalized with the suggestion of continuity in the next stage, focusing on the unfinished cable car station and adjacencies and the realization of new research and analysis for the development of propositions for the space.
